Sorrow and Emptiness

I could recite a thousand poems
Of what you mean to me
But then none of them would be mine
And still you wouldn't see
I can't us another's words
About how you make me feel
The words I have for you
Are the ones in my heart still
I know I hurt you in some way
That I am trying to understand
Perhaps I was envious and jealous
Because I am a man
You are very special to me
Even though you retreat away
If you ever come back to me
My sorrow would wash away
I know all the things I do
I feel are in vain
But this time it feels
That we'll never be the same
