Once upon a war

It starts with an earthquake
And a morale that will never break
Then comes the sound of the marching drum
So loud you can't hear yourself hum
As the time draws closer
An image begins to appear
Thunderous roars reach your ear
Then get louder and louder
Fear creeps into your hearts
Wondering what will happen when it starts
Many men will lose their lives today
When and how, no one can say
Then finally, the silence comes
When you can no longer hear the war drums
Suddenly the shouts of men in a nearby bar
Songs of victory for the end of the war
