Mates of the Soul (NoTmi) - part 1

After so long a time, time spent
wandering, searching, pondering
Life, love and the true meaning of it all
Always wanting to know whether that special someone
The one called soulmate, is factual - or fantasy.
Then, per chance, one eve
There, sitting alone in quiet solitude
She sits and waits for that special someone
The one she knows as mate of my soul to appear,
Even if only in a dream
To take her from a life so wanting
To a place she will always feel
Profound love and depth of life
The place that she can be tamed
Yet be her inner self.
Along came whom at first to her was unknown.
Soon after the genteel greetings,
she finds an unusual comfort in this stranger
And tells him of her broken heart and dreams.
