Hello, Mr. Toad!

What odds you passed to get to my house.
It's been years since I even seen a mouse.
All those dogs, cats, kids, roads, and cars.
How did you make it to where you are?
Many a young toad has headed my way.
None has made it, not until today.
Such a long way from the pond to my yard.
I guess a million to one was pretty hard.
It's good to see you, I thought you all may be dead.
Please stay as long as you like there is nothing to dread.
I've got lots of places for you to hide.
Taste my free-range bugs, no pesticide.
It's sad the way people poison your food.
Well, feel free to hunt all night and sleep all day.
Don't worry, I'm not going to spray.
