Fracture

The silhouette of your smile is haunting.
Every so often;
Reappearing and saying something.
Seldom graceful, and often cold;
The things you said were direct and bold.
Your affection was lacking,
and your words were attacking.
You pushed me away,
So, our bond just kept cracking.
Harshly, impatient, improper departure;
Dwelling within, like a lingering fracture.
