Another Forgetful Night

Another Forgetful Night(0.00 / 0 votes)
Not sure how it started , I expect how it ends
While starting with spirits , given by friends
We rode on our Harley's , to a place called Red Rock
And began our escape , a beginning Woodstock
The booze started flowing , as the party began
And soon I was wondering , how my clothes were in hand
Recollecting a girl , running round in the nude
and not wondering why , I thought it not crude
While beer and the moonshine , start talking to me
And sudden realization , that I couldn't see
The day turned to darkness , as the party went on
While trying to find sanity , but my mind was far gone
The laughter and crying , was a part of my life
A sudden escape , from my illusions of strife
I remembered imagining , what Mom and Dad thought
Then I lifted by glass , and the happiness brought ...
Who gives a “ rats ass “ , of what they would say
I'm living my life , and this is the way …
That life is a lesson , and I am the boss
But soon slamming jail cells , finds me blaming the sauce
My one only phone call , is soon on my mind
And calling my parents , and dialing while blind
My voice does now echo , and quivers within
And life is a lesson , that Dad will begin …
To lecture and pardon , the horrible choice
That now ever haunts me , when I did once rejoice
Those drugs and the spirits , that entered my soul
And the sound of the music , that's great Rock and Roll …
Have now left me wondering , and thanking that I
Survived one more example , my defiant youth cry
