Last Goodbye

I'll never forget that day
I was told you were gone
I couldn't breathe, no words to say
Fell to the floor, completely withdrawn
Tears pouring down my face
Heart not beating at a normal pace

Unanswered questions
Wanting a reason
So much pain
No one to blame
Struggle no more
Your soul is free
No pain anymore
We were not ready
Sleep now daddy
As we say our last goodbye

Thoughts of anger
Questions of doubt
Confusion no answers
Screaming inside wanting to cry out Searching for truth in lies
Day after day question why

Unanswered questions
Wanting a reason
So much pain
No one to blame
Struggle no more
Your soul is free
No pain anymore
We were not ready
Sleep now daddy
So we say our last goodbye

Falling to pieces
Answers out of reach
Pick myself up off the floor
I just can't take this no more
The world is spinning
Cant go back to the beginning
Wish you could hear me
Wish you could see
Cant catch my breath
Heart beating fast
Thinking of your last

Cut through the surface
Fight through the pain
No purpose
Going insane
Cant find the words
Fells like a curse
Deep in the darkness
Close to unconscious
Screaming inside
No one can hear my cries

Pick myself up off the floor
I just can't take this no more

Unanswered questions
Wanting a reason
So much pain
No one to blame
Struggle no more
Your soul is free
No pain anymore
We were not ready
Sleep now daddy
As we say our last goodbye
