Bane of Lure

In front of me
A shimmering glow
A curtain of gold
It waterfalls down her back.

Turning, she blinds me
With the spotlights
In her eyes, glowing
Ever knowing,
Those razor-sharp knives.

Next, the shark, menacing
Pulling up from the depths
Of emotion with those
Vampire-like teeth in her smile

Then, gone.
Eyes closed. She's harmless.
The shark seems to have eaten the prey.
But it doesn't know
The prey is here to stay.

A black hole opens
Sirens spill out
Dancing, enchanting
Her deadly lullaby

Until, it stops
A spear through the heart
The monster, bested
By the prey.
