Lies

Darryl Bartlett 1965 (Alabama)

The ways of war are conflicting
With the pain they are inflicting
With screams galore that are stifling
From bullets flying and rifling

Men march ahead to their demise
Filled with hope, dreams and lies
From a government that will hide
The real reason they all died

Money, Power and Greed
Is on what they all feed
Never once blinking their eyes
As their tongues wag with lies

One is the same as the other
Warring on sisters and brothers
Society is doomed to fail
When rulers have horns and tails
