Fish in a birdcage

There sits a fish,
trapped in a birdcage.
Weather being sun-ish,
it was tought to be strange.

"How dare they hold
such a creature against it's will,
letting it collect mold
as if it's some kind of a thrill."

Many looked on with pity,
unaware of their own
position in the same captivity.
Only one had a crown.

The swan looked down, thinking:
"what idiocity it is, to be
unable to realise one's caring
worth less than the help to flee."

About this poem

Pity is often given to others by the one's who don't yet realise that they are in the same situation as the one being pitied.
