as above, so below

As above, so below,
Drenched in wealth from head to toe,
Through stretching darkness, we simply glow,
Look at who we are.

Watch us move like the river Nile,
Burning sands turned to golden isles,
Calloused hands, but beaming smiles,
Look at what we’ve done.

Through the madness, we shall thrive,
Pushing upwards to greet the sky,
Tired limbs, but still alive,
Look how far we’ve come.

Do not think we’ve lived unharmed,
We hide our scars within our charm,
Of this, you need not be alarmed,
For this, we shall become:

When we rise, we’ll soar like birds,
Join the sky, and greet our herd,
We’ve done enough, so spread the word,
But this is not our time.

The sky will touch the earth again,
Through rain, our breath will flow again,
Our seeds will sow and grow again,
And break the ground to shine.
