When death stops by.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

When death stops by.

When death has come by. It will be me you see at your side, and the flash from the past will go floating by like the clouds in the sky. I will grab them and put them in a jar by your bedside. He can't touch you; he can't pay the fee. All he can do is take me; that's my fee. I will hold your sweet, smooth hand and place one final kiss on your delicate lips before departing to allow you to breathe a sigh of relief. My love for you is my fee. I know he doesn't like it, so he will leave, and I will go, and you will see it's me he wants, and he will pay the fee and he doesn't scare me. I already paid the fee.

About this poem

This is a poem about death. I thought about this situation for years And now it's here. Now you got to think am I death that's by her side and is the fee I have to pay is for losing her? Now I think there may be something wrong with me but I would trade places with a lot of people. Even the one in my poem Crystal.

A beautiful sentiment. If it were only possible, she would still ne at my side and my life would once again have meaning.
