The Ruthless Morning Wake-up From Sleep

Shahjehan Soomro 1980 (Larkana, Sind)

I want to forget the day that swallowed my chance to have the last glimpse of my father while he was leaving for another city with my uncle for a cure.

Latet, after a few days, I was awakened from sleep at small hours of the morning, 6 a.m., unexceptionally with the screams of my family members, whose voices were circulating around home, "Dad has died!".

After having listened to this news, the train of my thoughts terminated on the rootless territory, and I felt myself standing without earth.

I take an exception against that night, which remained endless even during early day light in my father's life, but later, I realised, and I quote, "we are all on the way towards the end for a while in this fatal world".
