My heart my compass

I don't need a holy book to guide me,
My heart is my compass, it's where I find me,
I treat all with kindness, no matter their race,
For love and compassion are what I embrace.

I don't need a holy place to pray in,
My soul is my sanctuary, where I begin,
I seek peace and harmony, wherever I go,
And spread joy and happiness, like a river's flow.

I don't need a preacher to preach to me,
My mind is my teacher, it sets me free,
I learn from the world, and from those around,
And grow every day, with knowledge profound.

For my religion is humanity, and it's all I need,
To live a life of purpose, and to plant a seed,
Of love and compassion, in every heart I meet,
For that's the true essence, of being human and sweet.
