Pascal

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

Kan i search my soul
And i
Finding your shadow written on my mind
Envision you

A dancer
Coming to me

From a place
where i was lost

Seeing my ship
flounder in its wake

Of greater things
taking my world apart
Left me without recourse

Just another soul
Hanging to a dream
while cast adrift

Holding by a prayer
was i

Here beneath the stars
Wading like a fool
In these uncharted waters

How was i to know You
Would materialize
in the perfect moment

To condense
from a dream Into a kiss

Bringing meaning
to the empty space
within my heart

Coming through
the forest of echoes

Dream memories

To catch more
than the gist of this

And learn
once more
To live

Not merely
to exist
