Numb

I'm a photograph detaching from everything inside of me
Feeling of hollowness as the picture fade slowly
Dryness in mouth
Stories told by strangers
Lying dormant in dark
My image grow dim and suddenly disappear
I died a thousand times
Just to live a thousand times
Knowing I will die again and live again
Distorted voices fade as they speak
My responsiveness drowns in the abyss
I 've carried the emptiness for a lifetime
Going nowhere

Good work, seems like the writer just feels nothing or don't want to feel anything, it's just better to feel,"numb"

Photographs do fade slowly...a sad image to identify with the speaker.

There is a sadness here, a sorrow of the soul because what others say about us becomes who we are, a book judged by its cover and not its contents.
