Slave Submission
Submit to masters with respect,
To all even to the unjust;
Never attempting to reject,
While in the Lord put your trust.
For this will be a gracious thing,
When you are mindful of God;
Enduring sorrows it would bring,
It is not wrong to praise and laud.
What glory is it if you sin,
Or trying to buffet your fault;
Be patient and endure within,
Let forgiveness from God be sought.
Remember Christ suffered for you,
Leaving you as an example;
To take the steps to follow through,
If you study through the Gospel.
He did not sin nor did guile,
Neither any deceit spoken;
He had no lavish lifestyle,
And His body was unbroken.
He reviled not in return,
When foes reviled against Him;
When He suffered others did learn,
The power of spiritual vim.
Christ threatened not but kept His trust,
In the Father who was righteous;
Knowing that He was fair and just,
For He will be serving justice.
Christ bore our sins on the cross,
To die and live to righteousness;
Although our gain was His loss,
Your wounds are healed when you confess.
We are sheep who have gone astray,
Returned to the Shepherd of your soul;
The overseer that you obey,
Remains at the helm to control.
