I Must be Evil

Leonard Wilson 1948 (Washington state)

+*I Must be Evil*+
           (Johnny Walker-Rescue Me)

         +++Slow Blues number+++

Woke-up Sunday mornin'
on a Tuesday afternoon
Sun came without a warnin'
My head was a balloon
Checked my bottle for a spider...

I need help, and pretty soon!

Stumbled to the bathroom
Washed my face, and tried to think
Thought I had my act together
Then I threw up in the sink!
My mind is like a rat's nest...

Oh lord, I'm on the brink!
                    (chorus)
I must be evil...
How'd this day come to be?
I need reprieval
Johnny Walker...

Rescue me!

Baby found a new love
She threw me out the door
Been lookin' for a true love
Keepin' company with whores
Sweet Jesus, up above me...

Can't take  this anymore!

Pulled my smelly socks on
Spied a shoe under the bed
Found the other in the bathtub
Such a poundin' in my head!
Made plans to find the door...

Thought I'd pass right out, instead
                       (chorus)
I must be evil!
That's what she said to me!
So much upheaval!
Johnny Walker...

Rescue me!

Made it to the sidewalk
Heard a thousand angry horns
Felt my bladder balkin'
My underware got warm
Saw some people talkin'....

Wish I was never born!

Stumbled to the corner
Found the liquor store
My pants were feelin' warmer,
as I slithered through the door
Peeked in my empty wallet...
.
It slipped and hit the floor!
                        (chorus)
I must be evil!
Why did Baby cut me free?
I ain't bad people!
Johnny Walker...

Rescue me!

Put the bottle on the counter
Told the man my tale of woe
It didn't seem to matter
He just pointed at the door
Grabbed Johnny as I ran
Might run forever more!

The moral of my story
Well, that's kinda hard to find
It's not a tale of glory
I'm a fool who lost his mind
 The story's  kinda borin'...

It's been told a million times
                 (chorus)

I must be evil!
What else can I be?
I feel primeval!
Johnny Walker...
Rescue me!
I must be evil!
Johnny Walker...

Rescue me!
