What is wrong with me?

Friendship flows innocently,
Smiles repaid with warm embrace,
Starving for human kindness,
Hopeful after cruel interactions,

Tomorrow will be a new day,
Perhaps a new chance,
Never room for one more,
But always room for anyone,
Anyone whose not me,

Words of a mother engraved in my soul,
“So many cannot be mistaken”,
The endless torture of starvation,
Hunger for an invitation,

What is wrong with me?

On any day, a walk in the park might become the source of a scene, a chuckle, a tidbit of guidance or a friend. Sunshine also arises. A new day is NEW…doug blair

Excellent writing here, Scarlett. There is no wrong way to be who we are. I am much the same in that I don't seek friendships out, nor do I require them in real time. It's not that there's anything wrong, it's simply who we are. I talk to people often enough, it's just that I don't necessarily need or want to talk to them regularly. It's just my personality and I'm okay with that. Learn to love yourself for who you are and work on the issues you'd like to change by stepping out of the comfort zone. Thank you for sharing. :-)

There is courage in your words. You succeed in sharing your pain and frustration, your willingness to expose yourself, and the strength you have to rise every morning with a new intention.
