Sudden Death

Weakened by your force-fed doubt
Constantly confused, can't figure out
Am I crazy? Does it matter? It's what I've been told
Cause I'm always paranoid, heartless, so cold

One more moment that's all I'm asking
Prayers forgiveness haha God is laughing
Scared to commit and scared to let go
Aware that the devil won't leave me alone

An addict? Sure am proud to be clean
Counting all of my blessings know what I mean?
On addicts are clueless and no not how it feels
To see drinking and smoking even popping pills

The angel on my shoulder tells me that I'm okay
As the devil tells me to tell and run away
It seems I'm the crazy one who listened to neither
Sudden death just won't come so for now I'm a non-believer

Now it's been a few weeks since my last high
And so far I'm feeling pretty good inside
Still hoping sudden death suddenly stops by
That way I can be relieved at this wasted life.
