2022 remix

Frank Lilpoeta Fernandez 1988 (North Bergen)

2022 was a year of
Celebrity deaths
But it also was a year in the making
many old & new Generation of celebrities have come & go.
But it took us by a storm
With the main source
Mental Illness
Was the weapon of choice of a human mind.
In the words of the late Kenny Rogers.
We lost
The Queen of Country music
The Power Ranger
The king of Hillbilly Rock
Sonny Coloene
Paulie Walnuts
Even The Golden Girl Betty White
The man who gave Batman a voice to many generations.
Mental illness isn’t a joke
It’s a weapon that contains damage to the brain.
Fame is a powerful drug to handle.
When we were kids
We see the rise and fall of many talented people.
The only problems we all hide
Is our emotions
We have become Phantom of Emotions
With a hoody.
We see the good things in Celebrities
But we Adults know the true identity behind the masks of emotions.
Mental illness is a disease that becomes a Franchise from the soul.
America wake up
Take off the mask of emotions
People intend to emulate
Robin Williams
Judy Garland
Whitney Houston
Johnny Landis
Elvis Presley
many more
2022 was no laughing matter
It was a sad year and
Controversial year
And especially
Good year
But this poem speaks the truth.
