I'd rather be blind

Burnett Davis 1965 (California)

Something told me it was over
When I saw you and her talkin
Something deep down and my soul said, cry girl
When I saw you and that girl walking around
I would rather, I would rather go blind boy,
Then to see you walk away from me child,no so
You see, I love you, I love you so much that I don't wanna watch you leave me baby most of all, I just don't wanna be free be free, no sitting here thinkin of your kiss and your warm embrace, you yeah when the reflection in the glass that I hold
Held to my lips, now baby Revealed the tears that was on my face, yeah and baby, baby, I,d rather be blind I,d rather be blind boy, than to see walk away from me yeah
Yeah baby, baby, baby, I rather be blind boy
Then I go to the movies and then I go downtown and I swear I saw my man talk to a woman and whisper in her ear and I said dearly leave my Man along I said please I said please please and so be strong and get your mind straight outta the gutter
