Zion Glory
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Arise and shine, your light arrives,
Because His glory has risen;
For the glory of the Lord thrives,
Freeing you from the sin prison.
The darkness shall cover the earth,
A gross darkness on the people;
Allowing wickedness its birth,
Entering into the temple.
The Lord arises upon you,
While His glory shall be seen;
Gentiles will see what is true,
Brightness of your light so serene.
Lift up your eyes around to see,
Seeing your sons shall come afar;
Your daughters are carried with glee,
Considered as your shining star.
You shall see and be radiant,
Your heart shall thrill and jubilant;
Your children are obedient,
While remaining vigilant.
The wealth of the nation arrives,
Many camels are abundant;
As your faith in the Lord revives,
Since His presence is evident.
The flocks come up with acceptance,
As He will beautify His house;
For His glory that will advance,
Bestowing blessings on my spouse.
Who are these that fly like a cloud,
As the doves fly to their windows;
So gracefully above the crowd,
Flying out over the meadows.
For the coastlands shall wait and hope,
Unto the name of our Lord;
While we continue to cope,
By remaining in one accord.
