My Compass My True North

I stand with the World before me,
You spin my World around
You are my compass, with You I’m never Lost
You pull at me from the inside out
My Spirit gives a shout
A magnetic like pull that navigates me – True North
That’s calling out – “Come Forth”
I looked at the compass needle, Which is my TRUE North?  I thought
Northerly the sun shines higher and cooler breeze as if to heaven rays,
Southerly gentle wind blows along the quay
Easterly the wind soughs chasing the morning away
Westerly fragrances of flowers that bloom, chasing the night away
The wind is blowing
The water is flowing
Birds are signing and bees are buzzing
Trees are standing tall
In the midst of it all
And There stands  in the midst of it all - the Almighty God
The compass pulls towards his might
In all His Glory how can we lose sight
All heaven and earth bow to that very place
From that compass needle to that Very Space
My True North stands forth leading me, guiding me, calling me forth
Pulling me to my compass which points north
I close my eyes and listen to His Voice
I see the beauty and rejoice
He pulls me from my heart
To places I’ve only seen in ART
Paintings of life and dreams
Of Hopes and life streams
I see the places evolve even as I never cease to fight against the storms
He takes me by the hand
His love is made to understand
In that moment I ceased the fight
My Heart and soul took flight
He leadith me to my True North, my one true north
That’s Gods Hand on Me
Showing me that I am free
In that moment from deep down in my soul
Its that voice that pointed me to my journey
Footprints in my path even in the fire that was burning
I found that my dreams, my hope possibilities are endless
The Journey starts now is boundless
I realize that compass that I carry is right here in my heart
My compass my true north

Yashina Singh

Yashina Singh A Mum, Woman In Business, Founder of The Lady of Purple. I believe that one of our greatest gifts is the gift of our uniqueness that we each have to bring to this world. My greatest fulfilment comes from serving and uplifting others. For those that know me know that my faith is one of the foundational cornerstones of my life. I have surely not arrived as I believe that we have the opportunity to live and learn every day. Tragedy struck my life when I lost my lifetime partner to covid. Life threw me off balance and left me paralysed with emotions and grief. I am testimony to the fact that God has carried me these past months. Every day is a challenge through the grief and the hardships however we rise up and stand tall with courage daily believing that the best is yet to come. My greatest desire is to be testament to other woman, to be a voice as I am a survivor of abuse, depression and suicide. I’m a woman who has overcome severe depression, abuse, and suicide. My belief is that we cannot let Society, or any person define who we are rather we choose to rebuild and define ourselves. I was born in Port Shepstone nestled on the Natal South Coast in a humble home were respect and kindness were our family values were instilled into my life. As a child growing up I always wanted to be a doctor and somehow find myself in a position today to be a testimony to help others as doctors help patients. My life has propelled me into this New Journey that parallels and fuels my drive to nurture the desires of my heart and birth them into greater possibilities. I deeply enjoy serving in our community and choose to be a voice for others raising support and committed to using my God given gits to nurture, help support and empower. In life there is nothing more important than giving back and making a difference in the world around us. Through my own experiences I have gained much comfort and soul fulfilment in helping others. We stand together in a Sisterhood such as the Mrs/Ms Royal International Pageant with love, care support and dedication to helping women who fight and who continue to fight and brave their battles to be a voice together with them that we live in an equal and all-inclusive world. Our attributes of hard work ethics and morale values have built us and we stand in classrooms, sit around boardroom tables as we choose to break that glass ceiling on the limitations placed by society. Accolades of Recent include being A Woman in Business for more than 35 Years A recipient of Woman Appreciating Woman Honorary Award, a Ground-breaking Worldwide movement by Dr Caroline Makaka in the US. A Recipient of Women of Wonder Awards 2021, I Conquer Award on Leading by Example by the Trailblazer Farzana Mayet. Interviewed on several Talkshows including MSC Radio, Shamilla Ramjawan on the Red Corner Show to name just a few. A representative on the Women in Business Forum in Financial Services for Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. An MBA via Udemy Academy of Learning in 2021. Volunteer for The NPO called Ignite Revolution Finalist in the Glow TV Mrs Uniworld SA Pageant 2021 Most importantly a Vision from God The Lady of Purple Most Importantly All glory to God as my Faith is one of my foundational cornerstones. My Vision collided with Lydia’s story from the Bible and was so apt to this Platform and hence The Lady of Purple with a colour of Spirituality and Imagination. Purple inspires us to divulge our innermost thoughts, which enlightens us with wisdom of who we are and encourages spiritual growth. My Mission is to be a Coach to help Network, Inspire and Transform Lives which forms part of the Journey of The Lady of Purple. May our visions be achieved as we harness the power through collaboration in being equally accountable. Let us become the disruptors of the World, leading, rethinking and making those paradigm shifts as we navigate and leverage of one another. We are faith thrivers and believers governed by a higher authority. It is my opinion that the Worlds simplest and most impactful Strategy is CARE. We are all taught to listen to others, that’s great but having sincere care about them is where we WIN. Not just for others but for ourselves. It is for this reason that I embrace the Mrs Royal International Pageant, as both Founders Rosa Van Niekerk and Farzana Mayet are true testimony to the Value of Sisterhood. Their Vision is one that reiterates that True Beauty resides within the heart of each of our sisters and we all stand together to become better versions of who we are and grow together in making a difference. Join me on this amazing Journey and let us Shine our lights brightly. more…
