I remember you in my life
Being led by the Holy Spirit
Being an example
Sharing the word of God
Showing it
In the reflections of caring
In the reflections of love

I always saw the Holy Spirit in your life
The love of God in you
When you were there by my side
Throughout my life
I saw it in your ways
I saw it in your smile
Flowing through

In my life you were an example
Helping me
Within my heart to see
To always believe
And to forever trust
In the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

You were always there
For me and others
You were always there
You have always cared

I always love God
Because of you my earthly father
Because of the Holy Spirit in you.
You were an example to me
Because of you believeing
Being filled with the Holy Ghost,
Being born again.

You helped me
Within my heart to see
To always believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
And the word of God to apply
Oh to always and forever trust
In the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
To look at Him as my Everlasting Father

His everlasting word to my life
I have always applied
To love others and to care
To the best of my ability
To always have God first in my life

You were an example
You were always an example to me
Through thick and thin
No matter what happened
You were there by my side
Through thick and thin
You were always there
You have always cared
In this life
It was not about you
But it was about the everlasting truth

You were always there
My earthly father,
When time came for you to go into eternity
As you are gone
Because of God's mercy
Because of God's merciful grace
You are with God forever.

Continuing to believe
I carry on
Because of the Holy Spirit in you
My earthly father
Because of you being an example
I have the Lord Jesus Christ in my life
