Alone to our distractions

Alone to our distractions

Alone to the sounds of distraction
The hums of voiceless voices
Awake the sleeping child of our souls
Under the stillness  of ourselves
That speak before it speaks

We walked the empty streets
We woke to the waking times
To see that which wasn’t  seen

Behind us the years
Between us the tears
Ahead that we all must  tread

The mechanized thoughtless
drone of time
The cogs in wheel
of rusted screech between the lines

To  think our feet secure in nothing more
Conform to shapes defined
Behind the branded lines

To think again  ourselves
To validate experiences of those not validated
Yet make the world go round
Through anger pain and despair
In dreams of inner light that shines
Of those not counted but count so much
to strengthen backs bent with pain
To open wide the living eyes
To all that is here to see

Your poetic expressions beautifully capture the essence of introspection and the intricate dance of life's complexities. The imagery you've painted with words evokes a sense of contemplation and a deep connection to the passage of time and the human experience. Your words resonate with a profound reflection on the journey we all must undertake, navigating the twists and turns of existence with resilience and a quest for understanding.
