The light that I'd seen falling

Standing in a field I saw what I thought was a falling star
 I spied a light; where it landed and knew it wasn't far
My nature being curious I had to go and see
 What it was that stirred that curiosity in me
So, I walked across the field toward the light that I'd seen falling
 Drawn as metal to a magnet, an inner voice that kept on calling
 I hadn't gone too far when I saw a lonely rabbit
I swear that beast then talked to me, yet my mind just couldn't grab it  
 Standing there reflecting, then came five and then ten
The message they relayed to me, was Christ has come again
 Now I surely thought " I'm slipping" Rabbits just don't talk
 So, I shook my head to break the spell and continued on my walk
 A little further journeying showed me birds filling the sky
 So many fowl I had never seen, why where they are passing by
 Tornadoing the air above me they opened wide their
beaks
 I watched them fly in circles till my vision it grew weak
Now i have never seen this happen, but i remember where and when
 That distorted feathered tapestry told me Christ has come again
Now I'm no stranger to oddities but this would surely make you think
 I wiped my face and rubbed my eye's to break the hypnotic link
 Nearing journeys end, I quickened in my pace
I know the light that I'd seen falling was very near this place
 As I'm getting closer shadows move just up ahead
I try to see them clearer thrusting forward with my head
 A pack of wolves is what I see just before the light
But truly I have come to far to turn on heel and flight
 Onwards towards the light I move caution in the fore
I must find away around them in order to see  more
 Now I tell you I'm no hunter, sneaking skills I lack
For all eyes they were upon me, I readied for attack
 Yet I was not on the menu, no not that very night
It's true those wolves just built my faith as I moved closer to the light
 Now I truly have seen something, and I thank the lord Amen
 Yes, the wolves they growl when I walk by, But Christ has come again
