Stars of hope

Ekta Mishra 1975 (Modinagar)

When I look around me
I can see the stars
Stars of hope and pleasure
Stars above all the bars
Stars their gillitering raiments
Have always guided me on my long tiring way
I see an awesome spectacle
I hear a speechless anthem
Pole star guides me on my way
And lo! I navigate at random
Whenever the dawn or the dusk is clamped by the ghastly musk
Musk of disillusionment and disdain ...
Never leaving my trails all in vain... Success along the way do I get...as I see the stars above all the bars... gillitering the cosmos into the night

About this poem

When I look around me I can see the stars Stars of hope and pleasure Stars above all the bars Stars they have always lead me on my long tiring way... Whenever a dawn or dusk is clamped by the ghastly musk Musk of disillusionment and disdain Leaving my trails all in vain I look at the stars I hear the speechless anthem That only I hear I see the awesome spectacle That only I see
