Marginalized People.... I heard it on the news

gregg connolly 1956 (pennsylvania)

Just wow, just wow, just wow, wow, wow

Let us all take a deserved bow

Push them away those stinky pests

NIMBY for sure if we are talking their nests

Pay their way to ensure they are healthy

I’d like to help out, but I want to be wealthy

What do they expect, a living and dignity at work

What do you think I am a some kind of sucker or jerk

Let their mongrel kids into my perfect kid’s school

That would be too much, my kids are too cool

Pray with those rabblerousers in our house of the lord

Will surely lead to our alms becoming their golden hoard

A pathetic, uncaring bunch, no, not them, us

We have no choice to make a divergint fuss

Lest our disdain becomes apparent to them and to us

We placate our souls with charity and platitudes

Their spirit cycle through unpredictable vicissitudes

If we could turn away from antipathy

We will find our sirit and soul in empathy

About this poem

this phrase really is a sad commentary on humanity
