Jah Rastafari Redemption Songs

Jah Rastafari.
As above, and so below.
The “Head Creator.”
Sending Jamaican prophet.
To give us Redemption Songs.

Like John the Baptist.
He came from the wilderness.
A place called Trench Town.
Singing his songs of freedom.
His sweet songs of redemption.

Like John the Baptist.
Who wailed out for redemption.
Our prophet Bob Marley.
Seeing warfare and madness.
Sang songs to find solutions.

Jah Rastafari.
As above, and so below.
The “Head Creator.”
 Sending Jamaican prophet.
To give us Redemption Songs.

Jah Rastafari.
A prophet with much honor.
Give thanks and praises.
To this Rastaman prophet.
With his songs ‘bout righteousness.

Like John the Baptist.
Wailing for our repentance.
He smoked the Peace Pipe.
And sang to wake up people.
Singing songs of Peace and Love.

Jah Rastafari.
As above, and so below.
The “Head Creator.”
 Sending Jamaican prophet.
To give us Redemption Songs.

Jah Rastafari.
Lifting up ancient spirits.
Songs of Babylon.
Rasta songs of I and I.
Songs of Jah Rastafari.

Jamaican prophet.
With songs of thanks and praises.
Sweet redemption songs.
Songs for all the world’s peoples.
Sweet songs of Peace, Hope, and Love.

Like John the Baptist.
He fought hard to break men’s chains.
To give all freedom.
With his songs of redemption.
Giving Jah thanks and praises.

A new dawn rising.
Jamaica celebrating.
With redemption songs.
Sweet songs of liberation.
Giving Jah thanks and praises.

Jah Rastafari.
As above, so below.
The “Head Creator.”
Sending Jamaican prophet.
To give us Redemption Songs.

About this poem

This poem, called “Jah Rastafari Redemption Songs,” is a poem of liberation for all inhabitants of Planet Earth. It is inspired by the life and creative soulful spirit of Jamaica’s iconic artist, musician, and prophet, Bob Marley, who had a dream and sung passionately of making the world a better place for all humanity. See my companion freedom poem entitled “Freedom Voices Against Bondage” pertaining to Bob Marley, Friedrich Schiller, Ludwig van Beethoven, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, and other notable world figures as artists, poets, philosophers and civil rights activists who have publicly articulated on the ethical power of freedom as a healing balm.
