My Optimism

In the fantastic world of tomorrow
There'll be far less tears, also sorrow.
Earth will have ironed out every flaw,
Such as famine, racism, even war.

We will have learned to live together,
As neighbors we will be forever.
Women will be in positions of power,
Not just admired as a trophy flower.

I do not know how or when,
This idea will be honed by men,
But I do know that it should be,
In order for us to be truly free.

About this poem

In the fantastic world of tomorrow There'll be far less tears ,also sorrow. Earth will have ironed out every flaw, Such as famine, racism, even war. We will have learned to live together, As neighbors we will be forever. Women will be in positions of power, Not just admired as a trophy flower. I do not know how or when, This idea will be honed by men, But I do know that it should be, In order for us to be truly free.
