What's poetry

Is it black and white like they say?
Or soliloquizing words?
Nah I don't think so too
Well take a chill and grasp this moment with me
As I try to unveil its nature
You see poetry is not words painted on a paper in black and white,
Yes it might be in a written format
But the pen that writes it bleed not with ink but blood, emotions and flooding feelings,
It's a sad face hidden by a fake smile,
A longing symphony yet to be composed,
An adolescent breath muted early,
A dream which was never lived,
A melody not danced to,
A song which was never sang,
a flood trapped in a rain drop,
An ocean trapped in a salty droplets running down a cheek,
A love story which was never lived,
Poetry is that "I'm okay" you get from a buddened soul with a face decorated by bruises,
That "you eat, I'll eat tommorow my child" from a mother's empty stomach which lost history of when last it tasted food
That "I forgive you" from a soul you never apologized to
That is poetry
