Lemons in the Window.

The lemon orchards were ripe and vibrant.
Cherry pickers and ladders were granted.
A number of youth groups from local schools were visiting with glorious pools of sweat beads shining from their sweet brows.
Running through the branches in play.
Blissful radiance aplenty, the leaves strong and afray, playing hide and seek with each citrus fruit.
Children threw the lemons into their teachers bags as they stooped for the catch and headed for the adoring  farmhouse for sugary lemonade and a semblance of shade.
Once back at school, one particular teacher bowled up an arrangement of lemons to keep bad spirits away, there in the window it would stay.
