Aroint

A far away house shall keep where it rests
Yet a far away home will join with you
'Twixt the two a home is itself
As they are diverse

Houses are lined up side by side
Homes are abstract
The stories of houses are told upon purchase
Yet the stories of homes are untold

Those untold stories lie in the bricks and planks
The structure and shape well say to the difference
A loss of a house is devastating
Yet the loss of sentimental objects is depressing

Houses keep in rest
And the fires rage on
Destroying every atom piece by piece
And that’s why a far away home will join with you

About this poem

The poem discusses about how (metaphorically) a home will stay with you but a house is always at rest.
