Rainbow Heart

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

The rainbow army thrust there beaks out.
Saving me from my frustrations.
Then stretched there necks up in stages
As if counting the steps to heaven.
They went on to explain why I Go Girl
And threw themselves under the bus.
But moving them in return wasn't
As simple as walking by.
That certain something was missing from us.

About this poem

Herons are more brave alone than I used to think. Bravery however goes unnoticed because people expect others to take notice.
