The Tube

London Underground, it has an easily recognisable icon
One can see this from a great distance even
It’s lifelines in the underbelly of London are aptly called the Tube
Passengers inside are packed just like sardines in a tin and a loop
Have you watched the cooped up cranky crowds in the Tube?
They are mostly looking at their mobiles on the go,
some are lost miles away reading their books or gazing vacantly so,
daily grinds or unfathomable anguish on their faces,
who can tell what unimaginable scathes
are traversing the underbelly of the London Underground Tube?
