Drift Away

Carolyn Legg 1966 (Cambridge)

Slowly I drift away
Into a sea of nothingness
Swallowed by lies…

The life I thought I had
Who I thought I was
Turned out an illusion…

Shattered by the pain
My heart in pieces
I can no longer sustain…

Tears no longer ease
The number written on that page
Burned into my memory
Forever…

You express in a fine articulate way. But if you write so well you won't be nothingness ever. Thumbs up.

Plz do read and comment my first poem , im a newbie here but I've been writing for ages elsewhere.
