For Better Or Worse

Born with intelligence, a man
he was pestered, because we can
what to follow of destiny's path
he was good at academics, especially math
he reasoned from metaphysical and back
to reality checkmate, formulas off track
he had a love interest bond
transcendence throughout and beyond
hell within his equations and struggles
a magician with numbers, masterfully he juggles
beyond that connection of synapses
he had many of insane relapses
he pulled through with courage and strength
a lifelong ambition solving equations of length
noble peace prize future of honor
some once wrote off as a crazy goner
he grasped at his dreams
through crazy voices and screams
he burned out his unreasonable thinking
mindset numerical commonality linking
