Analysis of Do you know me?

Anjandev Roy 1973 (Burdwan)

In the dark
And silent night
I was deep asleep,
Suddenly.....
Someone appeared in my vision
And gently whispered to me,
"Do you know me?"
I thought for a while and said,
"Not at all,"
Then......
He said,
"But I know you very well,
You are my best friend,"
Being enamoured,
I woke up soon
And found a pleasant shadow
Receding fast with a smiling face.
