Analysis of Fences
I straddle fences everyday;
Fate's wind will pull and shove
Me back and forth and so I pray
"Please help me, God above!"
Each fence is strong and stretches through
So many silent fears.
They sway no matter what I do,
Beneath my heavy tears.
I've fallen sometimes to my right
And to the left as well,
It is a never-ending fight
With lessons not learned well.
