Analysis of Illumination
Amina Nashibandiyyah 1976 (Missouri)
I watched the turquoise white capped waves change shape, size and direction as they seemed to race towards the golden shore.
I remembered you as they called to me with their pockets of reflected twinkling rays of light.
You inspired a movement - a stirring - in my wondering heart to come to your sea.
There was no one else around to witness the glory of the rainbow as it stretched through the light blue sky or morning and pierced the cottony clouds.
I smiled when I recalled what You said- "I will give you more if you are grateful."
No camera had I with me to capture the moment, so I firmly locked the moment into my memory of your wonderful country.
