Analysis of Tis Nothing But a Dream
'Tis Nothing But a Dream
I've travelled half the globe
and I'm yet to find
a little glimpse of hope
still stuck inside.
And through the woods, the village, and the sea,
I'm yet to find a treasure,
whilst being torn to shreds
feather by feather.
And through all the unspoken,
the furthest in-between,
to still be far from you and hoping:
'tis nothing but a dream.
I've seen the faceless and the damned,
and I'm yet to feel
a slit throat's
Achilles's heel.
And through the darkness, and through the dark abyss,
I'm yet to find a place.
A place where candles shine with fallen's mark,
a place free of disgrace.
And through the hopeless, and as my vigour's still diminished,
I'm still here to give in.
A lie'd been spoken, there's nothing in-between, 'tis nothing but a dream.
