Analysis of HAPPY New Year. ok
Demetrius Paschall Smith 1960 (Texas)
I saw them celebrating the New Year as though there was no tomorrow, absent in the morning after and returned to sorrow.
Were the shots and fireworks a way of blowing away the angst of the year ending, somehow the negativity of what occurred a suture mending.
Now it is the second day of the New Year, it is quiet as though they retreated in fear.
All the drinking and rebel rousing done, were they really having fun.
Whatever one would answer it is done again as the next new year also ends. Hopefully a little wiser, prospered, and a few new friends.
But is anything learned as sleep fades in the daylight of the first, was last year really your worst.
Will the new year be the best, one decision at a time,
maybe next new years eve find a quiet place to rest.
