I'm Just Here So I Don't Get Fined

Free verse
I love the way words can mean something
I mean when they're put together that is
Well not even then...
A sentence is a social construct
A sentence is meaningless to those who aren't in the know

I saw a helicopter land in a field outside of work today
It looks like they're putting up a new telephone pole
They brought a crane, too.

I cry when I'm overwhelmed
I want to cry when I'm happy, too
I don't know how

I should get back to work
