Panther's Prey

Tyger Walsh Trez 1968 (Charlotte, NC)

Sly and stealthy tree trunk crawl
savors gray moments, before the maul
claws unsheathe and eyes green glow
free fall flight, muscles ripple and flow

deep red crunch as jungle sleeps
hidden baby monkey, watches and weeps
purple morn stabs tall ancient trees
monkey paws stretch, banana scent breeze
