PANTHER MAN [aka THE BLACK PANTHER]

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

The panther man stalks
Through the dark and torrid night,
Nothing evil's safe.

He haunts the underworld
Avenging misdeeds,
Protecting innocents.

Murderers are fair game
For the Black Panther,
Giving justice a hand.

Where the cops don't dare tread
The Black Panther does walk
With a jaunty gait.

No dark alleys scare him
No ghettos restrict him,
On his quest for truth.

Hunting down villains
On loathsome pitch-black streets,
He never hesitates.

Nothing terrifies him
Nothing can stifle him,
As he helps the needy.

He walks the silent streets
(Where nothing dares to move),
Striking villains down.

Monstrous creatures hide
Terrified of  the justice,
He swiftly applies.

Evildoers slink
Wary of his presence,
Afraid of what he brings.
