Akhaze Godwin, known by the moniker BoyGod, is a poet with a profound commitment to promoting mental health awareness and self-discovery. Throughout the journey of my life, poetry has served as a therapeutic refuge—a means to cope and heal. My poetic voyage commenced in 2012 when I was merely 14 years old. The pages of my life bore the weight of low self-esteem, and in 2017, the shadows of depression led me to step away from Covenant University. However, resilience pushed me forward, and in January 2019, I resumed my academic journey at Olabisi Onabanjo University, culminating in my graduation in 2023. Every verse I craft represents a therapeutic escape, a way to navigate the intricate passages of life, and a medium to express what often remains unspoken.
