As a way to impress and address,
Others perceived to be less...
Than human beings to treat them,
In a way they had been...
Taught to learn,
What it is that should be valued.
And...
Throughout their lives to prioritize!

With a remaining to pray faithfully,
For more of it to feel...
Life to live it,
Is a competition for attention to get.
And winning to impress others.

Those others with druthers,
Who also seek...
Equal approval and acceptance.
To then be applauded...
After achieving a head to toe scrutiny.
That has been charaded.
Done to masquerade,
A feeling of self worth.
Smothered under the cover,
Of pretentions displayed.
