Whispers

skitheeast

Speak up 
We cant hear you

Your voice is lost
Entangled
In the angry buzz
And the hum of
Electric machines

Distorted by perception
Warped by meaning
A version of the truth
It will come forth some day
And conquer the airwaves
Just listen to the whisper
For today

Soon it will be 
The voice of reason
From these lips will come
Prayers of peace
Wars will cease 
When you speak

But for now 
I will listen to the meek
The whispers that seek
To be great
To erase hate.

Hey, some of these aren't that great but what the heck. I just like writing how I feel in the moment so some of my poems might be confusing because I was confused in that moment. Maybe thats why I wanted to write a poem, to sort out my thoughts. Anyway, just read them and hopefully just one of them will bring you some kind of joy, or make you feel some kind of connection.
