Cobwebs

I lay on my bed
in the filtered summer light
staring at the blades
of a whirling ceiling fan.
Staring as they spin,
spiraling with them
thru a portal in a void.

I see your face
and turn to you.
Your mouth forms words
but says nothing.
Your words, my treasure
but mean nothing.
A way to keep away
the cobwebs
of silence
in your soul.
